I arrived in St Francis Bay in 1981, where my parents built and ran what is now the Big Time Taverna. I spent the next 8 years here before we moved to Cape Town where I finished school and obtained my Construction Management Diploma at Cape Tech.
I was involved in many projects in Cape Town ranging from large town house developments to building spec homes.
Returning to St Francis Bay at the end of 2001, I started Dace Painters and Decorators, which I ran very successfully for 3 years, before my father-in-law, Eric Stedman, asked me to join him in a partnership at Eric Stedman Projects. Over the following years, Eric and I built 10 lovely homes on the Canals, and elsewhere in St Francis and Cape St Francis, some of which were very technical which is a challenge I particularly enjoy.
Wanting to branch out on my own, I started Dace Construction in 2009 and have built many types of homes, from modern to conventional, mainly in Cape St Francis. In the process, we gathered a reputation for complete trustworthiness and reliability, as well as quality of workmanship which is our fundamental motto. During a project as well as on finishing a project, I believe my relationship with my clients needs to continue harmoniously, which is a second fundamental to me. Building a home is a very personal experience and should be as hassle-free for the client as possible.
If you are thinking of building a new home or renovating, Dace Construction has 16 years local knowledge and 20 years experience in the industry.
Let us show you a good building experience whilst ensuring a long-lasting, quality investment.
